Term 2, Week 5
Hello everyone,
I hope everyone had a cracking weekend.
Character Strength of the Week...
Leadership...a difficult skill to master but one that many are capable of showing in a variety of ways.
It involves encouraging and inspiring the group to achieve the objectives of the group whilst maintaining positive and happy relationships.
This is a great chance to discuss what leadership looks like for your child.
What traits do good leaders have?
Do they know good leaders?
How can they build these skills within themselves?
A few reminders for the coming week...
Year 3 Prayer Assembly:
All Year 3 families are warmly invited to join us for our Prayer Assembly on Friday afternoon (26th May) beginning at 2.15pm in the hall.
Students with reading parts will be given these today to bring home to rehearse...we will also keep copies here at school as we will be practicing every day.
Reconciliation:
All families are once again invited to come along and support our candidates as they make their first Reconciliation on Tuesday 30th May (3DAN) and Wednesday 31st May (3DEL).
Candidates and their families are asked to be at Our Lady of the Southern Cross by 4.50pm at the latest ready for a 5pm start...once students have made their Reconciliation and said their prayers, families are free to leave...we strongly encourage you to head out to celebrate as a family or year group if you wish.
If you are unable to make your allocated day, please advise either Caitlin or myself in writing via email so that we can make sure that both days are evenly weighted with candidates. We would like to avoid having a large number on one day versus the other.
Parish Mass:
On Wednesday morning, the Year 3 cohort will be walking down to Our Lady of the Southern Cross Church to attend mass with the parishioners. All family members are welcome to attend if you are free...mass will begin at 9.30am!
Wishing you all a great week.
