Good afternoon parents,  Can you believe that Week 9 is here already?  Character Strength: This week our character strength of focus is Honesty, not just in telling the truth but in being authentic within ourselves and how we present ourselves to the world. St Gertrude the Great is known as a powerful champion of truth and justice.  She was a Benedictine Nun who dedicated her work to theology, learning and writing.   Do you like to know the truth?  Do you like people to be truthful to you?  A few reminders for the final couple of weeks... Interviews: A massive thank you to all the parents that I met with last week, whilst it was a busy time it was really wonderful to have a chance to meet you all and talk about your child. Wheels After Meals: Mr Lee is bringing this super fun initiative back for Tuesday this week, your child is welcome to bring their wheels in and enjoy rolling around on Tuesday once they have been dismissed from lunch. Please make sure that your child has their helmet

Welcome to week 7, Last night I attended the Ed Sherrin (footy) concert in Perth. Not being a massive fan, but still went in support. Somehow we got row 1 so I could really fan girl. .........................He was AWESOME!! This week we are introducing a new idea to our school, we will be having a  CARE   Week !  We will have one of these each term and the aim is to lighten the load for students and teachers...the start of this is no homework for this week to give students, mums and dads the week off.  As a staff, we are under strict instructions to try to work a little less...we won't be having a staff meeting this week and are asked to try and leave a little earlier than we normally would!  This is a great initiative aimed at supporting the wellbeing of staff and students.
